On the road at 1st gear
I'm going to start blogging here. First timer. Never really took it seriously. I would just write a little here and there but I wanted to start something for the average person on how to save your way to financial freedom way before you ever reach retirement age. It could be $400,000. $500,000 or a million dollars. What's your FI number?
I am well on the path and I didn't do anything special except spend less than I've earned and I've saved and invested the rest. If you want to follow my blog, please subscribe and I will post more entries, I guess that is what they are called as I have time and have interesting things to discuss. I'm no writer, or English major so please forgive any grammatical errors or edits that I may have missed.
Full disclosure, I am not a financial wizard, financial professional or anything of that nature. I have just read, listened, and self taught myself. I practiced discipline in the areas important to me and have enjoyed the little things in life. I have gotten to a place where I am comfortable with the path I'm on.
I came from very low income, struggled through school to maintain a C average and was on the free lunch program. I started working at age 15 and a half with a work permit and thus started my life of earning and spending. I will relay my trials and tribulations here and hope that maybe some of you can learn from my mistakes.
Be on the look out for more future posting and until then, thank you for reading and keep living the dream.
